Shailendra Youth Brigade has
been founded by the youth involved with Vikalp Manch to channelise the youth
energy in various creative social, political and cultural programs of the
Manch. At present the brigade is working along following lines :
-
Organizing youth throughout
the eastern Uttar Pradesh under the banner of the Brigade, encouraging them
to participate in clean politics and to further the moral standards
put forward by Shailendra Singh.

Preparing the youth to bear
the political responsibilities of the future.

Ensuring participation of youth
in spreading Political, Social as well as Economic awareness.

Training the youth to be able
to undertake leadership and to provide right direction to the public demonstrations
related to general public interest, directing the demonstration towards
the base of the problem, and abstaining from the demonstrations leading
to difficulties to general public like road-blockage or damaging public
properties.

Fighting against social evils
like dowry, child marriage, child labour, corruption in public life etc.

Spearheading implementation
of various social, political and economic programs of Vikalp Manch.

Formation of Distribution and
Collection sub-committees of cooperative dairy being operated by Vikalp
Samiti.

Organizing Kisan Melas (Farmer
Fairs), Assistance Camps, Medical Camps etc.

Operating evening classes at
Vikalp Gyan Kendras relating to adult education, educating prospective beneficiaries
of government welfare schemes and coordinating with government agencies
for its optimum utilization, educating farmers about organic farming and
new agricultural technologies.
