The cover story “Public revolution in Varanasi”
Relates to a revolutionary incident in which students and general public led by Shailendra Singh, Ex.Dy.S.P., occupied the office and chair of the District Magistrate of Varanasi, protesting against his highly insensitive attitude towards public problems and problems of students. In this incident, Shailendra Singh was arrested but he held that if a public servant doesn’t have enough time to listen to the problems of public, and if the public dismisses such servant and occupies the chair being the master, what is wrong in it ? This symbolic action was to convey the message that the public servants should work for the public and that in a democracy, ultimate powers rest with the public.

No revolution is ever produced by a leader. Revolutions are born on their own, leaders only give it a right direction. Revolution is like a deranged elephant, it has to be controlled and given right direction.
