This issue is dedicated to the state of Indian democracy and increasing influence of kinship therein, and to the Women’s day and Holi, apart from the other regular features. The important articles are:

Kinship – the most weighty

In the recent elections in the three states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Haryana, the way in which the kith and kin of the politicians have joined the bandwagon is worth concern.

The faltering steps of Democracy

It is the game plan of the pimps of Democracy to make the elections costly enough to eliminate the good and honest people from contesting the elections. In this situation, it is natural that the onus of bringing forth good sincere candidates and limiting the election expenses is on the public only. In the present system, the winning candidate is the one who can spend millions on the elections, who has an army of criminals to assist him, who can manage polling booths as per his needs and who has thousands of rupees to scatter in order to prove himself messiah of the poor.

Developed India will be identified by its villages.

Words like progress and development will be meaningful only when the common man gets the right opportunity that enables him to make social, economic and political changes. We should understand the ecological organization of the villages.

Agriculture

New avenues of employment through giving importance to technology.

Better cattle management : More milk

Better cattle management is in the hands of the rearer. It is not too costly, provided you get the right know-how.

Women development – direction and state

It may be that the modern women bearing the flag of women development, especially the celebrities of show-biz and fashion world, are prey to some conspiracy. And it may also be that the conspirator is the same male-society which doesn’t give any recognition to women at home but outside, it  professes to  present her undue importance.

The dignity of women in our religious scriptures

Instead of blaming the present state of Indian women on the Vedas, Shastras and Puranas, creating meaningless squabbles, and doing no solid effort, the need is to make the women equally capable and competent as described in the scriptures.

Holi – the festival of colorful enjoyment

Hiranyakashyap is our thoughts which is greedy of “Hiranya” or gold and Holika is the evil tendencies  like frustration and obstinacy, by burning which we get pleasure, happiness and joy. Today, in our country, we have demons like religious bigotry, casteism,  regionalism, partisan tendencies, etc. In this situation, everybody has to awaken the munificent life-values, only then we can be able to burn this hallowed Holika, and only after it, we can build a colorful India in which everybody would be equal.

Colors color every life.

The sky, the sea, the mountains and the rivers, the roads and the home – you find colors spread everywhere. Why only outside; there is a whole world of colors in our mind and thoughts. You never know that how many flowers blossom in our life through the colors within and outside.

Literature: Satire by Ravindra nath Tyagi – Alas rich! Bravo poor!

The poor lives a simple life and has high thinking whereas the rich lives a high life and has low thinking.

Personality development : Success in your clutches

Serial presentation of the book by famous writer Manhar Chauhan.

Crime : Narcotics trade in Barabanki : result of smuggler-police-politician nexus

Why is not the police, or for that matter any agency, capable to stop the illegal trade of narcotics in Barabanki ? The chief reason behind it is the strong nexus between the smugglers, police, and politicians. Presently there are seven big gangs of smugglers operating in the area and many ‘respectable’ people are also involved.
